the Dam 5k

A group of us did the couch potato to 5k in 9 weeks program. This is our first 5k after completing the program. I did not run the whole thing... I know shame on me... but I did run over half of it. We are starting the training again to get faster and this time I am not going to get some weird intestinal thing or a really bad cold in my lungs to interfere with the running... so my next one I can run the whole thing.... well... at least improve on my time with each one completed!!!
Trevor and the children came out on this cold ultra windy Saturday morning to support me. I am really grateful for a husband who understands how important this was to me and for children who were super excited to come and watch.
With doing this I have realized things about myself...
running really is not my exercise of choice
I get bored while running
I love doing things with others... enjoy the chatting
I like variety in my work out
I need to loose some of my baby love so I can see the leg muscles running gives you.
I have developed a wonderful friendship with these gals in my running group
I love ya Emily, Beth, Liisa, Jennifer L and Chris
Emily is not pictured... she had to attend a funeral.
WE DID IT - - -
WE FINISHED THE DAM 5K!!!
hahahahahahahahaha

strike a pose

Zach came up from the basement when I was about done taking pictures of Morgan and her hair. He told me to take a picture of him and so I turned and he struck his pose. Well... then of course... Morgan had to strike about 10 poses for me to take pictures of.
I love that you snap the picture and they instantly have to see it. I remember waiting days, weeks, months and in a few cases even years to see what was on the film..... oh to instant gratification.

Morgan and her hair

I had curled Katie's bangs before she left for school and hadn't put the curling iron away yet when Morgan spied it. She then asked me to curl her hair. I thought no problem put in a few curls and call it good. Oh no, she sat there for 10+ minutes. I would curl a piece of hair and her hand was up there letting me where to curl next. I would say we were done and she would then continue to tell me where to curl... so I had to get some pictures! She is so adorable!!!

and you can never just take one, well... I can't.

Jason - 7 months

He loves his food!!!

He loves to play with toys!!!
stats:
weight: 16 lbs 150z.
length: 28"
he is wearing 12 month clothing
He loves to play with toys, be were his siblings are, music, and eat, eat, eating. He is good at banging you with his head, smiling, laughing, knowing just what he wants and being happy.
!What a joy!

Trevor's save the date

We will be having an open house if any one is interested in saving the date!

Jason and the bike grease

The three younger children were in the t.v. room playing. I had Jason on his back with some toys and he inched his way over to where his father's bike was. He was having fun playing with the chain... as you can see he was having a ball. I had already washed off his hands before I put him down to snap a few pictures. and don't worry the cheese is fake.

Jason- 6 mo snapshots

I took these on the Evenig of Easter. So cute!!!

Morgan and underware... don't worry it is picture free

Morgan has decided that she is to wear underwear all of the time. We have been letting her choose a diaper or underwear for the last little while. As of last night she has worn just underwear even to sleep in... and... she even woke up dry!

YEAH... YEAH... YEAH... Morgan has decided to be potty trained.

It was so nice to let her choose, it was never a battle or the making her go to the bathroom (you know - the mom is potty trained). I am hoping and praying that she keeps up with it and continues to do so well!!!!

Baptism and people

Katie with: her primary teacher Sister Hamblen, her dad, Brother Craner (bishopric member), her dad, cousins, grandparents, and her confirmation circle. I didn't get a picture of her and I or with her siblings, so sad. (not to forget with the next one.)

Katie was baptized by her Dad and confirmed by her Papa, my Dad.

katie's baptism

Katie, I can't believe you are eight, where have all the years gone. I loved that we got to shop for your dress together. I hope you always remember your baptism day. This day is the day you are accountable for your own choices. I have always prayed that Christ would come before you were baptized so that you would be perfect and I would be accountable for you. Since you are now in charge of your choices I pray you will always make wise choices in what you do, what you say, in your friends and in your spiritual development. You are a beautiful, smart, strong and competent daughter of God and I know you will do well with the life in front of you.

Always know that we are proud of your choice, that you have a Dad that loves you more than he will admit and he wants the world for you. Katie we love you and hope this day is a cherished memory for you. You are first to get baptized and we couldn't be prouder.

You looked beautiful in your dress, I love your loose tooth smile... you are perfect the way you are because you are mine to enjoy.

Love you - Mom

Katie was baptized on April 10th
we will have more pictures in her dress as soon as the weather cooperates!
