Christmas Pictures

Thanks, children, for smiling even though you were freezing. Poor Morgan was shivering and would wrap herself in a blanket when she wasn't in the picture. What troopers and I am so grateful for that, because they have a mom slightly obsessed with pictures!

Our 2009 Christmas photo shoot.

Jason is falling off and Zach is just holding on and smiling so perfect.

oh how I LOVE these socks

Emily told me I should have taken more individual pictures and we should have gotten the girls together but it was just so cold for them. Next time, plus I love the ones we got. I guess you normally only put one picture up so... I only need one really good one. Thinking about it I will probably take their pictures again similar to this in a couple of months, oh to love pictures.
I love these four absolutely adorable picture perfect children!

ADORABLE! PRECIOUS! PERFECT!

stollen post

Okay, this is a post my cousin Paul's wife, Misty, wrote. I loved it and had to share it with all of you. I have to say that I am allergic too!

Allergies

My allergies are acting up again. I am allergic to three things. Antibiotics, shell fish, and sugar. That's right. Sugar. It makes me fat. Allergies are so not fair.

Can I just tell you how sick I am of wearing the same sweats? Or how about resorting to Paul's t-shirts because I can only take so much of that doughnut that keeps showing up under my really cute t-shirts. For crying out loud, why can't I stay away from the one thing that makes me the most miserable? Stupid cookies.

What if I convince myself that I really am allergic to junk food? When I am at a party and someone offers...no....shoves the plate of brownies in my face and I say, "Oh, no thanks, I am on a diet." and they laugh and shove harder, wouldn't it be great to say "Oh! My heck! Get those things away from me!! I am allergic!!!" I might get a different response. Something like an apology would be nice.

I mean really. What is worse? Hives or Fat? Fat of course. Every once in a while I just want someone to put me out of my misery. Just take me out to the back of the farm and pull the trigger. If I am going to kill myself, why not do it quick. Rip it off. Like a band aid. Instead, I choose to do it slowly. Bite by bite. Stupid flipping apple pie.

Discipline. Discipline is the thing. Or was it listening to my body and intuitive eating? Wait...I think I know...it was moderation...moderation in all things. No, wait, it is coming to me...abstinence. Yes, that is it. Abstinence. No, that isn't right. I think I was talking about allergies. I am allergic to that bucket of red vines! I am I tell you!Get that pie away from me before my butt swells up and explodes out of these sweat pants!

Perfect... although, I should probably add breads. I love you Misty.

Family Home Evening at the track

For Family Home Evening we went to the old track and had us some races. After church, Katie was talking about how she could kick her father's behind in running so we ended up here. The four of them lined up and I counted them off. They all ran their little hearts out. And everyone was so happy to finish, we didn't have one melt down over finishing position. I loved how we all cheered for each other and no matter when they crossed the finish line it was just important that they did.

they're off-
finish line photo-
stopping-
still coming-
almost there-
headed back for race number 2.

After the sprinting races Trevor and I jogged around the track. Morgan started running with us, Trevor carried her part of the time then we all ran together. I pulled ahead just in time for the crowd to cheer my name and declare me the winner. (ha ha)
Trevor and Katie ran around the track one more time. Zach, Morgan and I started strong. Zach just couldn't get his legs to keep up so he cut across the field mid way. Morgan and I ran a bit then did a 180 so we could finish at about the same time as the others.
It was a fun family moment.
Trevor then ran some lines. We timed him twice then headed to the car.

At the car Trevor was trying his hardest to keeping everything down. He was breathing deep, spitting and walking around. I am so proud he did... funny how our minds can still run as if we were 18 but our bodies, well they age. They get slower, fatter and unconditioned.
We went home and talked about running from sin no matter what the cost. Family Home Evening can be SUPER FUN, everyone can be apart and you can even get pictures!

I love these moments.

Jason two months

Jason at two months.

He is happy all of the time except when he is hungry, ready to fall asleep, needs a diaper change or has gas when mom eats the wrong kinds of food. (cheddar cheese, tomatoes or tomato based anything and sausage family meats)
The doctor says all is well and he is looking great.
His stats are:
Height: 24"
Weight: 11 lbs 6oz
Head: 40.5 cm
Our biggest baby continues to be the biggest. He is in the 90% for head and length and 50 % for weight.
He is starting to sleep through the night, blows bubbles, smiles frequently and is starting to coo. I love this stage!!!

He fell asleep like this and it was just too cute! He likes to have his hands by his face.

Jason's blessing day

Jason's Blessing Day

Jason was blesses on Sunday November 1, 2009.
We was blessed by his father. It was a wonderful blessing. I love hearing the things promised to a spirit so young if they but choose the right.

I loved having family here to celebrate this bundle of joy with us. We had yummy food, lots of talking and enjoyed every minute of it.
Thank you Trevor and all those men who stood in the circle for honoring your Priesthood. I loved seeing all of you up there able to participate in such a wonderful thing.

Thank you Dad Irish and Lesley for the beautiful blanket and blessing outfit. Both items were perfect.

More pictures to come of Jason in his outfit with his blanket.
