Funnies of the children

Today Morgan and Zach have both already cracked me up so here are a few funnies about the children...
Morgan
Lays on the coffee table to play with the littlest pet shops, her computer, books... anything. She stood on the stool, during a dance party, and bent her knees and shook her little booty, has started to give silly faces and then look away. Morgan on Sunday at church kept putting her hands to her mouth and laughing at the children behind us, it didn't lend it self to reverence but it was sure cute. She has to do everything the older children are doing, no matter what it is.
Zach
Loves to listen to the Zune when I get home from my walk and he just sits and smiles, as long as he likes the song and if he doesn't we have to change it. He has become quite the dancer and will try to out grove anyone who dares tries. He is starting to say more "adult" words and sentences such as, "let me decide", "mom you just have to wait a minute for me", and on my parents answering machine... " You have a nice answering machine message." I love how he is starting to want to pray now too. He always says, " bless we will have a good day, a good dessert, Dad to drive safe, a good lunch and then he may add a few things but always those. I love it! We are working on him fastening his own seatbelt. I told him we couldn't go to Boise until he learned how. He added," And then we can go to Disneyland."
Katie
Comes home from school with the funniest stories to tell. For a while lots of children were giving Katie there plastic rings off their milks to her for her collection, I would throw away a handful a day. She has to about do her own hair everyday, good thing for headbands. She must have grown, or at least her feet, because she keeps kicking her toes on everything. When we say her reading teacher at the store she said, " That was so embarrassing".
I just love all of them and am glad that the days are filled with such funny things to remember. I really do always need to focus on these times, they are what make life!

Family Photo in the rain

When we took the family photos of the Irish crew we tried to grab a shot of our family. I really wanted an updated nice photo of the family and it almost happened. With the rain starting to fall and everyone walking to their cars no one was there to help get the children smiling. So this is what we ended up with.
OUR RAIN FAMILY PHOTOS!
With a little touch up this is what we got-

Thanks Aaron for standing in the rain and grabbing these few photos before the rain started to pour!

Baby Irish

We had our Ultrasound yesterday. I couldn't post it yesterday because I had to get the blog up to date with all of my to do blogs done. With those now done I can post that we had our ultrasound yesterday. For some odd reason I had this fear that the baby's heart was going to be on the outside of it's body. Well... the ultra sound tech told us that everything looked perfect and that the baby was developing as it should. It is in a breech position but that is not a concern for now.
Of course we found out the sex of the baby. We are not as patient as others. Plus I want to be able to get rid of any extra baby clothes I can. So I am asking if anyone wants Morgan's hand-me-downs. Yes, we are having a BOY! At first he had his legs crossed so we really couldn't see but the tech checked two more times and there was something sicking out in the middle of the leg bones, so yes a boy. When we found out Trevor told Zach he would be getting to share all of his toys with his little brother and Zach said, "I think I choose no."
Katie was at school when we had it done so the first words off the bus were," Is it a girl or a boy?" When I told her boy she was bummed for all of a second and then went on about how Zach could have a brother. Then Zach told her that he got to share all of his toys with his little brother.
We will have two of each, two girls and two boys. We are just glad that this baby is developing as it should and all things checked out.
Ultra sound rememberings:
In Katie's she turned her head and opened and shut her mouth as if she was talking to us. She probably was.
In Zach's he waved his hand at us.
In Morgan's she stuck out her tongue.
In this baby's he just moved the entire time.

I love the feeling of this baby. Knowing it will be the last makes me want to cherish the feeling and memories of it. I have been feeling the baby move for a few weeks now and can hardly think that next week I will be half way done. So if you have any super terrific boy names that match the middle name of Edward let us know.

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday
Uncle Shane, Aunt Stephanie, Lily, Jessica, Violet and Grandma Sara came to our house. They were our first Irish guests for a holiday. We were so happy they came to share this Easter day with us. We went to church, had lunch and played!

We had lunch full of yummy, yummy food. Ham, ham balls, jello, jello salad, green beans, olives, butter dips, and yams. I forgot the deviled eggs so we had them with left overs the next day. After lunch we had an egg hunt, thanks Aunt Stephanie, with eggs hid all over the place. Of course, then came the dessert; supped up chocolate cream pie and/or hot berry cobbler. The children opted for Popsicles, two each. (score)

Katie cried when they left and Zach said it was boring and he didn't have anything to do now. It was so much fun to have family at our home. We normally only see them when we go to Boise but we could really start to like them coming to celebrate things here. I love family and sharing such special days with them to make special memories.

Easter Saturday

The Easter Baskets come to our house on Saturday morning. The children got buckets this year.

After a bit of candy and more candy we got ready and head out for our ward's Easter Breakfast and Easter egg hunt. They had fun. Zach even found a gold egg.

The rest of the day was full of candy, candy, candy, working around the house, cooking and then that night we colored eggs. It was Morgan's first time to color eggs. She only did one and really loved it. I love watching the children be creative and have fun dying eggs. Each year is just as fun as the year before.

Then it was bath and bed and getting ready for Sunday.

Katie 7th birthday bash!

Katie's party was spectacular. She had 12 girls come and celebrate with her!

We celebrated the night with some twister.

Trevor had them do some fun things like push ups and crap crawls around the table. He also had them line up to answer some questions, if they got it wrong they got a squirt from the spary bottle. After that they all hid all over the house so he could find them and spray them as they ran back to the living room base. Lots of running, squielling and fun.

After Trevor fun, we openend presents and had cake.

When we served the cake there was a surprise in it, Katie didn't even know before hand either. It was MONEY. We had about a piece of cake left and everyone enjoyed it. After the traditional birthday items they headed down stairs for a movie and treats. They watched about 15 minutes of High School Musical before they just started to play and have fun. I think the major game of play was "baby". It was an enjoyable night and it is always worth it to see the smile on my daughters face. It helps that her mom loves to plan, throw and enjoy parties.

The Big 7, katie

On KATIE'S SEVENTH BIRTHDAY!
She got sang to in the morning.
Mom had lunch with her at school.
She took Popsicles and Oreos for her school birthday treat. (Zach and Morgan came with mom)
Bushka and Papa made it in time for dinner.(glad they were passing through on their anniversary trip to Idaho falls and then Utah)
She got to wear a cheese hat and got a yummy brownie dessert from the restaurant, The Upper Crust.
She went home opened presents. She got a lot of supplies to play school with and a digital camera.(it was mom and dad's old one but hey it is a digital camera!) She got sang to again and then blew out her candle in an sherbet ice cream cone.
It was a wonderful seventh birthday, the best she has ever had.
We love Katie and can't imagine our family with our her. She is such a joy to have around and I love our friendship too.
Happy 7th birthday our Katie.
(I noticed later that the date on my camera was off, so it really did happen on her 7th birthday. 4/01/2009)

Birthday celebration on Saturday

SATURDAY was Trevor's day to spend with his Dad. He let Aaron and Scott come along so they could have the time with him too. After Trevor got Dad and the two brothers he picked up Zach and Katie for a fun afternoon of time with Grandpa and Uncles. They had a great time, ran a few errands and had lunch. I had Morgan at my parents so she could take an early nap and be happy for pictures and an evening of birthday celebrations. When they got home we met at a park for some quick family photos. I mean quick. I didn't get the shots I really wanted but when you are starting and there is thundering and lightning you just have to throw it together quickly and hope it is okay. I got three groupings done before the down pour started.
Then we headed back to Stephanie and Shane's house for an afternoon of fun. When we got to their house we had total sunshine so we got a fun more pictures of Grandpa and the grandchildren and Grandma and the grandchildren.(she met us there at the house) The cousins had a blast running around and playing together. That is one of my favorite parts of family get togethers, is the the cousins playing.

We had a yummy dinner, presents and then cake. Brent did a fun remember this quiz that all of the original Irish family took together and talked about, it was wonderful. I loved hearing all of the memories and side comments that came up during it. Great thinking Brent.

It was a wonder evening with family. A time to be remembered and thought of often.
SUNDAY we had dinner with the crew, minus Dad Irish, at Bobby and Julee's. Katie got a few early birthday presents and we just had a nice time visiting. I loved when Katie opened her gymnastic Barbie's all Morgan could do was hold the package and say, "WOW" over and over. It was so cute.
Thank you Irish crew for all the fun, food, and family time.

Dinner on Friday

On FRIDAY we had the day to do what ever we wanted, no Irish activities planned until dinner. My mom and I ran to a few stores and just hung out. Trevor got into to town, went to lunch with the Irish boys then came out to see us. Dinner was adults only and it was wonderful. It was super fun to see all of the siblings together and watch the family dynamics come out. Every member of a family has a role they play and I thought it was fun to watch everyone is their role. After dinner at Golden Corral the boys went out for a night of bowling and brotherly fun, Stephanie and Shane celebrated their 10 year anniversary and Julee and I went to Target for a bit. It was a fun evening and the company was great. I am so glad Trevor had that time with his family. It doesn't happen often so we have to enjoy every moment when it does.

The Zoo on Thursday.

We had a picnic lunch before we went to into the zoo. Then Bushka took Morgan home for a nap and we went into the zoo for an afternoon of fun! The new Safari area was a hit with my two: a jeep to drive, a radio to work, giraffes, and lions. It made the Zoo.
The tiger looked at Zack square in the eyes again this time too and plopped down right in front of him. He does it every time we go to the Boise Zoo. They loved sliding on both the slides, riding the carousel, climbing on the animals and being with Cousins. We had the same crew as Wednesday at Rafiki but with Uncle Bobby added.
After the Zoo Lily got to come play at Bushka and Papa's for a little bit before we had dinner at her house with everyone.

Rafiki on Wednesday

On Wednesday we went to Rafiki. The children went on slides, played dress-up, ate lunch, did art, play in the fake snow table, played house, ran around, climbed, and just had fun together.

It was fun with... Lily, Katie, Jessica, Braden, Zach, Gillian, Morgan, Violet and Mylie for the cousins. The adults... Grandpa, Uncle Brent, Aunt Stephanie, Aunt Julee and Mom.
