S. Patty's Day '09 on Tuesday

Saint Patrick's Day Dinner on Tuesday.

We had a great day got to see GRANDPA for lunch at Costco and then went to see where Uncle Shane works. Cousin Jessica (Ricks) got to come play at Babushka's house. Went to Uncle Bobby and Aunt Julee's for dinner, cookies and fun. It was fun to celebrate OUR holiday with our IRISH family!
We got to Boise on the previous Saturday. On Saturday we went to the library, went to see Bolt the movie, Went to Church on Sunday and hung out with Bushka and Papa. Monday we were going to see Grandpa but he went to Burley to help Dad with the electrical goings on at our house. So we went to Aunt Stephanie's for lunch and an afternoon of playing. Uncle Brent and Gillian came in that night from Texas. We were gearing up for a great week of Irish fun.

Utah fun in March!

We got to Utah just in time to go watch Jessica play in her basketball game. She scored half of her team points. Then we stopped for pizza, Eric took the big children with him and us Girls went to a decorating store.( super fun store!)
Then we hung out and that night we went to see Brittany at work, at Fat Cat. Everyone had a great time. All different games to earn tickets... the children just loved it!!!
I think watching Brittany, Garrett, Jessica and Katie on the bumper cars was hilarious!
Morgan LOVED the little carousel, Zach quite liked it too. Zach just really liked everything!
That night at the house we had a performance to watch. Katie and Jessica performed for us and then we had a dance party. The best part of the dance party was Zach. He just got right out there and busted a few moves. Zach also decided that his cousin Garrett is AWESOME.

Morgan put on Jessica's shoes and hat, too cute!
After that we played games and snacks. A must at the Cathy household. :)
SUNDAY my Mom, myself and my children went to my cousin, Austin's, homecoming. It was nice to Uncle Dennis and Aunt Nancy there and Uncle Mark and Aunt Kathy and their children. It is nice to be able to travel to see family and enjoy each step of life with them!

Zach cracks me up!

Zach cracks me up! He is just growing so big.
Some of my favorite things he has said lately have been:
I look like a Dude. - when he got his hair cut this morning.
Dad hurt my veins. - he had been wrestling with Trevor
My heart won't let me. - he didn't want to sleep in his room after our trip to Boise.
Stop body, stop. - he was telling his body to stop crying and having a fit so he could eat. What
make me really laugh was when we said, " My body won't listen!" and went off to his room for a minute.
I just love how little words can bring such a smile to my face!

Trip to SLC with the Young women

I have been a blog slacker as of late. I am going to finally upload the photo's on my camera today and and post, post, post. Our trip to Utah to visit My brother's family and go to my cousin's homecoming. Our trip to Boise for spring break and to celebrate Trevor's dad's b-day. And Katie's 7th birthday.
I can post about my trip to SLC with our Young Women this past Saturday. It was a practically perfect day. I didn't take my camera so no pictures but what a day. Tour at the north Visitor Center, Organ recital at the Tabernacle, lunch, Joseph Smith movie at the Legacy theater, tour of the Beehive house, dinner at the Lion's House, then the Young Women broadcast. The day was full of the Spirit, laughter, and fun. I loved being with all the girls and being in the presence of our Prophet. You know that the first Presidency carries a great spirit with them when they can quiet the conference center full of women and girls in a matter of seconds. I loved being there and feeling his love. The talks were amazing. Most were on Virtue but President Monson talked on Courage. It was just WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!! The first Presidency as they were leaving stopped to wave to everyone, President Monson and Uchtdorf even blew a kiss... what a small jester but I know some of our girls, including me, will never forget it. They might not know our name but they love us.
The Joseph Smith movie was great - everyone needs to see it!
I just love trips like this, although it took the entire day and I was tired after it, I felt the love of my Savior all day. I know that my testimony was strengthened and my love for our Young Women grew. Of course, gaining and keeping a testimony is never easy, it takes work, sometimes sweat, and tears (for me more than others :) ). In the end all of it is worth it and I think not much else will matter.
I am planning to take our family there this summer and take the children to different Church sites. We need to learn OUR history and I am excited!

Money for Toys

I believe that American children are to picky with their food, spend to much time whining about what they want and/or don't have and have far to many toys!!! SO... A few weeks ago we told our children that for every toy they donated to Desseret Industries we would pay them for it. It seemed like a great way to get rid of unwanted and unplayed with toys. It was a big hit. We got rid of two LARGE boxes and a small one of toys. In return they got to pick something out at the store. This is what they got...
Zach a new Nerf shoot gun that came with glasses and a target.

Morgan got baby goods.

Katie picked a stuffed animal, surprising... not. A Littlest Pet Shop so she could go online and play.
