Baptism traditions

My Dad writes beautiful poems. He has written a few for church occasions. I am a person who loves traditions, family treasures and meanings behind things.

So I love these poems my Dad has written, they are very important to me.

We have one for the bow in Katie's hair.

The bow in Katie's hair was worn when she was blessed and now when she was baptised. It is also to be worn when she is married.

He also wrote one about a baptism towel.

So here is my talented Dad reading one his treasured poems.

My mom finds poems that are written about things and loves the idea of the poem but she doesn't really like that particular poem. So she has my Dad write a spectacular one for all of us to enjoy. Thank you Dad for having such a wonderful talent. I will just add that to the list of why my Dad is one of the biggest heroes in life!!!

Easter Sunday

This Sunday was a different Easter Sunday because it was General Conference weekend. So no Easter outfits on Easter but don't worry we will have pictures of Easter outfits later. After a super yummy dinner my parents headed home and to avoid the goodbye tears we played outside for a few minutes. Jason was slumbering inside and we ran, rode, dug and laughed outside.

Katie got this bike for her birthday so we jogged (full stomaches and all) and she rode. It was fun. I love that my hair is bouncing when Trevor took the photo of Morgan and I...

Holidays=family time and I love it!!!

Easter Saturday - Egg hunting

In the afternoon Katie and Zach went with Trevor and took a load of stuff to the dump. In their absence we filled the eggs for the hunt. We were filling the last egg as they got h0me, perfect timing. After dinner we sent the children down stairs, hid the eggs and got ready for the hunt. We let the children start youngest to oldest with a few seconds in between. They had a lot of fun... I even found two later during the week and thank goodness they smelled like candy and not eggs!

Easter Saturday- Dying Eggs

Dying Easter Eggs has to be one of the funniest things in life because even as an adult I still love to do it. The children dyed 3 dozen eggs and still wanted to do more. Really though, have many egg things can one eat.

There is even significance in dying Easter eggs... I will have to find out why!
