fourth of july

We had a wonderful Fourth of July. We had a barbecue with our friends and neighbors Susan, Jim and crew. We ate yummy, yummy food. After dinner we hung out for awhile and then headed to Gene's (Susan's son) house to set off fireworks, a fire pit, and yummy smores.

This was Jason's first fourth of July. He loved the dinner part and then slept through the fireworks in the car.

It was so cold we wore coats, snuggled up to blankets, and stood by the fire.

Gene loves fire, so this is what he did most of the night. Trevor lit a few and so did Jared and Ashely. The children loved to see the fireworks, they always do. Zach wanted it to be the fourth again, like a redo, for the week that followed the fourth.
