The Cassia County Fair

Okay so we may not live in Burley the rest of our lives so we are trying to experience everything while we are here. The Cassia county fair is a BIG thing in Burley. I mean big - people plan their vacations, school reunions and such around it. Just about everyone goes at least once if not every day. There is a parade on Wednesday morning that everyone watches or is in. Businesses close, even a few banks, so their employees can watch the parade with their families, plus the fact that no one comes in during the parade. They also have a rodeo for three nights. We always to go to the kids free night on Thursday and love it. We normally have to come home and act out rodeos for a few weeks. We enjoy the fair as a family and decided that we needed to be apart of it. So the children entered cookies into the fair. Katie made oatmeal butterscotch and Zach entered brownie cookies. Katie won a red ribbon and two dollars, which is second place. Zach wasn't old enough so he got a green ribbon for displaying them and a dollar. It was fun to be able to go see the cows, pigs, horses, pictures, and their cookies. We will be doing something next year too. One of our Burley traditions!

Couldn't leave Zach out of the blog so here he is when he was out side running after his sister. He loves to ride his Diego Bike but running is still faster for him so he often prefers to run. He is happiest outside running, riding, jumping, playing in the water or mud, and anything else he can think of to do!

Up Up and Away

Morgan started to crawl up the stairs Saturday night. She made it up the first two before Trevor got her down. She had a good fit over that too! It takes her a while but it wont be long until we have to really watch her and probably put a gate at the bottom of the stairs like the top. She is pulling herself up on things and walks when you hold her hands. Although you always want them to grow and develop, being a crawler in perfect for now ---

KATIE SAYS GOOD BYE TO TRAINING WHEELS

Katie has learned how to ride her bike with out the training wheels. On Saturday I came home from doing cards and Trevor had taken off the training wheels and they were in learning mode. I took over so Trevor could get ready for the day and we had it all but mastered by the time Trevor came out after his shower.(it took her all of an hour to learn-total) It was hard to get the starts at first but after a break for a few hours she went back out and had it down. What an easy experience that was. She didn't even get hurt ---well at least not yet!

It is all she wants to do now, go out front and ride her bike.

When is cute TO CUTE?

I love her hair like this. It is fun to have a girl with hair long enough to put it up at such a young age. Girls are fun with all of the "girly" things you can do with their hair, clothes, socks, shoes, just about anything!!!

(These are the pictures I need to keep handy for when we hit the girly moods in life. They start earlier than I thought and my mom says they don't stop until they are in their twenties. Hopefully they will be like me though - practically perfect---hahahahahahahahahahaha)

My brother Eric and his family came for a few nights and we loved it.

The guys worked on the house and of course found some time to golf.

The children loved their cousins. It had been two years since we had seen them in Arizona and that is just to long...

Katie loved playing with Jessica. They had so much fun and I don't remember a moment they didn't get along. I love cousins. They played with their webkins on the computer and with the stuffed animals. They loved to play store too. I think they just enjoying finally playing together.

There visit was short but wonderful! In all of our construction mess I still loved having them come to visit. I guess it does help that they worked on the house but we would of had them even if they didn't. We just love knowing that they are finally close. Two hours plus a little is far better than Florida - to far to count the hours without going insane!!!
