I have been a blog slacker as of late. I am going to finally upload the photo's on my camera today and and post, post, post. Our trip to Utah to visit My brother's family and go to my cousin's homecoming. Our trip to Boise for spring break and to celebrate Trevor's dad's b-day. And Katie's 7th birthday.
I can post about my trip to SLC with our Young Women this past Saturday. It was a practically perfect day. I didn't take my camera so no pictures but what a day. Tour at the north Visitor Center, Organ recital at the Tabernacle, lunch, Joseph Smith movie at the Legacy theater, tour of the Beehive house, dinner at the Lion's House, then the Young Women broadcast. The day was full of the Spirit, laughter, and fun. I loved being with all the girls and being in the presence of our Prophet. You know that the first Presidency carries a great spirit with them when they can quiet the conference center full of women and girls in a matter of seconds. I loved being there and feeling his love. The talks were amazing. Most were on Virtue but President Monson talked on Courage. It was just WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!! The first Presidency as they were leaving stopped to wave to everyone, President Monson and Uchtdorf even blew a kiss... what a small jester but I know some of our girls, including me, will never forget it. They might not know our name but they love us.
The Joseph Smith movie was great - everyone needs to see it!
I just love trips like this, although it took the entire day and I was tired after it, I felt the love of my Savior all day. I know that my testimony was strengthened and my love for our Young Women grew. Of course, gaining and keeping a testimony is never easy, it takes work, sometimes sweat, and tears (for me more than others :) ). In the end all of it is worth it and I think not much else will matter.
I am planning to take our family there this summer and take the children to different Church sites. We need to learn OUR history and I am excited!
