Potty time

I was changing Morgan's diaper and asked her if she wanted to go and sit on the potty. She hopped down and ran off to the bathroom. She lifted the lid, I put her on and she went potty. I don't plan on this being a regular thing yet, still just fun.

But hey - GO MORGAN!

Zach was right there when she got out of the bathroom to make sure everyone got the treat for Morgan going potty. I think Zach will be a great help with potty training Morgan... he wants the sugar. (hehehe)

She also went later that night again and has gone atleast once a day since then. (added 2 days later)

Christmas

The children got up after 8 a.m. and the fun began. We sat around and opened up the presents each in turn and each anticipating their next turn. Katie got the Nintendo DS she was rreeaallyy wanting. We all made out like bandits!!! In fact Zach can't wait until next Christmas for his mass of presents.
Don't ask me why I don't have a picture of Morgan or Jason... I just don't. Chalk it up to one more think I should have done!!!
Santa brought:
Katie : a mp3 player and an itunes card
Zach : a tool bag with tools in it
Morgan : a doll, a purse and a bottle
Jason : a toy
It was just us this Christmas but still wonderful. I loved watching the children get so excited about every present. The children spent the day engrossed with their new toys. I think the only time Katie left her DS was to eat, sleep and occasionally talk about her DS.
At dinner we talked about gifts from Christ and we all gave a gift to Christ. It was a habit we could over come... we won't list them...... I think we need to set new ones or remember what we said.
I do love Christmas and all that it brings.

don't worry I already have gifts purchased for Christmas 2010.

Twas the night before Christmas

and all through our house, not a creature was stirring not even a mouse.

One of my favorite traditions we have is that Trevor reads The Night Before Christmas to the children right before they go to bed on Christmas Eve. He grew up enjoying this tradition and so he is passing it on to his children.

The Potty

Just asked Morgan if she wanted to sit on the potty as we were changing her diaper. She said yes so I put her up there. I was about to go and get a dry diaper and pjs and what did I hear... YES, she went POTTY!!! We are not potty training yet, just having fun with it. When we are changing a diaper or about to get in the tub we ask her if she wants to sit on the potty. Some times it is a yes and most times it is a no. This is her second successful sitting on the potty.
!YEAH MORGAN!

Off for a treat ... m&m anyone?

In through the front door came -

good old SAINT NICK-

Talking with the children. Asking them if they have been naughty or nice at home, school and church.

Getting a candy cane out of the magic bag.
Trevor trying get Morgan to get her own candy cane.
This is as close to Santa Morgan would get.

The whole gang and Santa.
As Santa was talking with the children Zach whispered in his ear, " I love you." Later he got his drum ornament he had made at school to show him, Katie did too. Santa said a drum for the little drummer boy. Zach, " No, for Jesus. He plays it like.. and then noises as if some one was playing the drum as he patted it." I got tears in my eyes from laughter on that one. When Santa was about to go he was telling he children to go to sleep and not to pretend because he could tell the difference. Zach, as fast as lighting, laid on the floor and said, " I sleep like this" with a snoring sound. When he got up he said," but with out the snoring." He kept us going. Zach is such a little crack up.
After Santa had left and we were heading to bed Katie said, " Santa looked like Kevin." She said a few more things about the night to Trevor and then said, "you know, like Kevin Millward." She is figuring things out yet still believes.
Thanks Santa for the visit and we would love one again next year. That is if you have time on Christmas Eve your busiest night of the year.

We need some new...

SNOW CLOTHES!!!

Katie's are tooooo big and when we pin them so they almost fit they make her hips look very plump. It is even funnier in person.
And Zach in PINK... that will never do...

So off to Kings I go... and hopefully before the season is over. :)
