Katie and the dentist and her baby front teeth

Today Katie go to go to the dentist and have her front two baby teeth pulled. She did very well, only cried during the yucky, nasty, unfair shot. After that was over and they gave it about 5 minutes to numb everything and it took all of 4 minutes to get both of the teeth out. They gave her the teeth in a little container which sit in a pillow, I used for my teeth, under Katie's pillow. This is our first tooth fairy visit. Oh the joys of parenthood. We will post a picture when it isn't so fresh looking. Katie got to stay home from school, eat ice-cream and have a fun relaxing day full of what ever she wanted. Two of her favorites about this whole experience... 1. she gets money and or something from the tooth fairy. 2. She will get her name written on the December tooth, at school, two times.(she talked about both of these all day long)
We are all going for cleanings in the next 2 weeks and we already know Katie has cavities, poor molars with out enamel...... All I want for Christmas is Dental Insurance!!!!! Santa Please, I've been good.

O' Christmas Tree

We set up the tree last Monday night for family evening. I love Christmas. I love... the tree, decorating the tree, wrapping the presents, making treats, and I love how CHRIST is the center of it all. As we set up the tree our neighbor friend, Kassidy, helped us. For our lesson we talked about why we really celebrate Christmas. We did true or false, best answer and thought of things we could give to others that didn't take money.
Everyone helped decorate the tree, even Morgan. Tons of fun.
Trevor read a bed time story to them.
I love having scriptures and prayer by the lights of the tree. I always feeler closer to my Savior during this time of year. And... I think that is my favorite thing about Christmas.

Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving was Wonderful. We went to Boise on Wednesday night.
On Thursday we got up hung out with Papa, Bushka, and Uncle Trent. Around 11:00 a.m. G.G. Lois arrived and we got to play with her. Katie loves to take her into the computer room and play with her. Morgan loved the dog and Zach is just cool with all of it. Then for lunch we were off to Uncle Shane's and Aunt Stephanie's to have lunch with the Irish side. It is always tons of fun to play with cousins, chat with girls and hang out with the boys. The children played really well together, the best I think they have done, we didn't see them almost he whole time. Dinner was right during Moran's nap time so she fell asleep on the way over and on the way home but was awake the entire time at the Irish Feast. Dinner was yummy. Everyone helped bring stuff and the children got to eat in their own room with just them. It was fun and nice for everyone. After dinner was done and the kitchen cleaned up the children got to make Pilgrim hats with cookies, frosting, and recess peanut butter cups. (thanks Aunt Steph.) We hung out until about 5:00p.m. They went to the movies and we went back to my parents house to plan Friday.

Friday was fabulous. I am one of those shoppers that was out and about at 5:00a.m.. We, my mom, myself and Marilyn Allen, went to Walmart, Shopko, Old Navy, Fred Meyer and Kohl's all by 10:00 a.m.. We then quickly went to the mall so I could get Trevor and I coats at Penney's and get a wash and dryer ordered at Sears all by 11:00 a.m. We met up with Trevor's mom, sister and sister-in-law Julee for lunch. Super yummy and fun, I love girl time. After that we went home so the guys could go golfing. After a nap I was ready to go again but didn't. Trevor went to Shane and Steph's to watch the Boise State game and to hang out and have some down time. This day I got almost all of the Christmas shopping done. Just a few items for extended family and we are all done!!! Yeah, I love this day and am already looking forward to next year!
Saturday was a very relaxing kind of day. Sleeping in, snacking and enjoying life. My Dad took Katie and Zach to Krispy Kreme, just the three of them. I know they love doind this with him... maybe a tradition they have started. I went to lunch with some old friends. I had a wonderful time and could do it more frequently, I really do enjoy friends. After a two hour lunch I met my mom at Costco got movie tickets, pictures and some shirts. And... I finally got my very own Costco card, thanks mom. That night we stayed at Trevor's Mom place and had a great time. The kids got to take a bath and have time with just Grandma and Dad, which they had a lot of fun doing. Zach loved that he got to sleep there and Katie liked that we were doing it was a family. That night I went to see "Twilight" again with Stephanie, Julee and Julee's mom and sister. It was far better the second time. It was there belated birthday presents from us. Fun girl time day for me.
Sunday we went to church with Grandma, Bob and Braden. We also got to eat lunch at their house before we head to Jennifer's parents to pack. We packed and hit the road to get home. We got home had dinner, relaxed and then geared up for another week.

Katie's two new teeth

Katie has not lost any teeth yet but has two new teeth. She is our little shark. The baby teeth on the bottom are starting to get loose but the adult teeth just couldn't wait.

Katie's DaNCe Class

One Saturday Katie wanted to have a Dance Class. She was to be the instructor. But, that day was busy and Mom and especially Dad didn't have time for a half hour dance class at the same time, as requested by the instructor. So Katie took the CD, Shrek 2, into our room and worked out a dance routine to teach us. She even wrote it down in a notebook so she could remember. Here is Katie helping Morgan dance, Katie clogging and a picture of Trevor in the dance class Sunday afternoon.

Wrestling with Dad

Trevor loves to wrestle with the children. He seems to do it any time they are wanting to play. There is a lot of screaming, laughing and running back for more. Everyone gets equally wrestling time, even Morgan.
The children will poke, hit with a pillow and do what ever it takes to get their Dad to wrestle. What fun they have together.
