Katie and her tooth

Sunday, the 24th, Katie came up stairs, some time in the evening, and had two wads of toilet paper and proclaimed, " I pulled out my tooth."  She then started to tear up and told me that it hurt.  After a few moments we talked about how wonderful it was that she did it herself.  She told us," I just said a prayer to Heavenly Father that he would let me pull my tooth out."  She did not want her dad to do it. ;0 haha
So the tooth fairy brought her a dollar for doing it herself.  As of today we have no baby teeth in front of adult ones.  Tooth count: 8
She amazes me with her faith, strength and determination.  What an example!

A look at 13 months

Jason can stand up in the middle of the room.  Has taken his first step.  He will move his right foot a few times and then fall down.  Soon, all to soon, he will learn to move the left one... when he does watch out world.  He still has 6 teeth, 4 top and two bottom.  When you hold is hands to walk every few steps he looks up at you and smiles.  He will lay down for naps no problem but at bed time he likes to be rocked.  He is a happy, follow the big kids around, enjoyable and couldn't live with out child.  Oh how I love his giggles, ten toes, his smile, the way he snuggles up to his blankets, how he plays so easily by himself or with other, Okay I just love all of him.  From his cute little hairs, that have been cut twice, down to his size 4 feet that are learning to walk... I mean really, how could you not!!!

Zach's 6th birthday

Zach wanted an airplane party and so this is what we did...

 The invitations
We decorated paper and made paper airplanes.
Zach opened some mighty perfect gifts.
The cake. He did want a BIG airplane cake and as we were looking on-line at different ones he could have he just wanted the ones that were big.  So he got a triple layer homemade chocolate cake with airplanes on it and it was perfect.
After presents and cake we made candy airplanes and had some balloon fun.
It was a fantastic party and Zach had a great time.
After the party we went out for his birthday dinner, he wore the cheese hat(my camera was at home. :( )  and then we came home for a fun evening of playing with new toys.
I love birthdays and birthday parties.  I am glad my children do too!

Girls Weekend part 2

Okay the lighting is not good and I didn't go in and fix it but at these wonderful gals, piggin out and LOVING it.  Really look at all that food... don't worry we took home just a few boxes of leftovers.  It was a fantastic weekend.  Out to eat, staying up until 2 a.m., crafting earrings and hair pieces, funny pictures on Merri's phone, snacks, giggling, more snacks and giggling, and of course - shopping, shopping and more shopping.  Most of the fun came from just being together.  I love my mom and sister-in-laws!!! 's(my brothers sure did a good job picking their brides!)    Thanks for a fun weekend that none of us wanted to end.  I could have gone for a week or maybe two. (smile, smile)  Maybe next year we need it a little longer than a weekend!
Cathy eating the melted turtle from Hatch Chocolates.  It tastes so good you can even eat it if it looks like a pile of poop! :) hahaha   I think she even left a little bit in the seat and when mom whet to sit in the passenger side she asked Cathy if she left her a little surprise...  See this is what the weekend was like and that is one of the million reasons I LOVE THESE WOMEN!

I would like to remember a few of the life lessons we learned.
Chocolate can be better than most things, but not all.
If you have a ball you can relieve stress.
Laughter is wonderful.
Trials are better when talked about with friends, well laughed about, made fun of and laughed about some more.

Thanks gals for a perfectly wonderful weekend... do we really have to wait a whole year to do this again???

Girls Weekend part 1

We started out Friday October 1, 2010
Utah
We went to a bazaar in the morning.  On our way to the airport to pick up Merri we stopped off at one of the worlds BEST chocolate shops ever.  Everything we got was SO delicious and scrumptious.  Located in SLC just up from Temple Square and the conference center you can find
a little heaven on earth... Hatch Chocolates.
The Little Chocolaters
(from the TV station TLC)

They were so kind to take time out of their busy day to make a grown women feel like a child.  I was so excited they were there... they are t.v. stars and all.  Kate and Steve Hatch are super funny and wonderful. I asked them if it was okay that I posted the picture on my blog and Steve said that it would probably break my blog,  so glad it didn't!!!
I say it is a must go to if you are in SLC... the chocolate is worth every penny and you will praise my name after you taste the mouth watering, made with real fruit and better than a lot of things chocolate.
So I will just say YOUR WELCOME now.
